There have been exciting changes made in the Horticulture Division for the 2010 Lake County Fair.  Beginning this year, the Horticulture Division includes the following for exhibitors and the public:


NEW  *Invitational Rose Show
NEW  *Artistic Arrangement Show
NEW  *Ask the Expert- Horticultural experts are being invited to answer questions and share knowledge on a variety of horticulture and related topics on Saturday, April 10th and Sunday, April 11th.
Container Plant Show (new schedule)
FFA and 4H Youth Plant Show and Auction
Educational Displays

We have developed a new schedule for the Container Plant Show and we are dramatically increasing the awards and recognition presented at our shows by awarding Class Champions, adding premiums, presenting crystal for Best of Show winners and awarding bonus premiums for selected plants.

CONTAINER PLANT SHOW (Lake County Residents Only, No Cut Specimens)

            DELIVERY: Wednesday, April 7, 2010                 Noon - 4 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

            REMOVAL: Saturday, April 17, 2010                   10:00 - 10:30 p.m.

ARTISTIC ARRANGEMENT SHOW (Lake County Residents Only)

            DELIVERY: Wednesday, April 7, 2010                 Noon - 4 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

            REMOVAL: Sunday, April 11, 2010                      10:00 - 10:30 p.m.

INVITATIONAL ROSE SHOW (Open – No Residency Requirement)

            DELIVERY: Saturday, April 10, 2010                   8:00 - 11:30 a.m.

            REMOVAL: * Sunday, April 11, 2010                   8:00 - 11:30 a.m.

4-H/FFA YOUTH PLANT SHOW AND SALE
            DELIVERY:  Sunday, April 11, 2010                  must arrange with Horticulture Super.
                               Monday, April 12, 2010                 4:30 - 10:00 p.m.
            REMOVAL: Saturday, April 17, 2010               Buyers pick up by 10:30 p.m.

* Roses do not have to be removed by exhibitors.

** Any exhibits left at end of pick-up time become property of the Lake County Fair**
